This mix was composed in Big Sur, CA. It was created live while visiting and dancing at a 5Rhythms ecstatic dance retreat at the beautiful Esalen Institute.

Ecstatic Dance is all about dancing like no one is watching; dancing without the judgment of others and dancing without limits. Healing, primal and rejuvenating, ecstatic dance is my favorite type of dance experience. Always an amazing release.

5Rhythms is a dynamic movement practice—a practice of being in your body—that ignites creativity, connection, and community.
While a seemingly simple process, the 5Rhythms practice facilitates deep and unending explorations, moving the dancer beyond self-imposed limitations and isolation into new depths of creativity and connection.

Ecstatic Dance Spring Mix

This mix was composed in Shell Beach, CA on a sunny morning in 2022. From dubstep, world beat, house to a few mashups, this mix has a lively and emotionally releasing vibration to it.
There are moments of darkness, lightness and renewal. This mix was created with a 5 Rhythms mindset, facilitating deep and unending explorations, moving dancers beyond self-imposed limitations and isolation into new depths of creativity and connection.

Chakra Healing Frequencies
A Chakra frequencies meditation mix. Solfeggio frequencies are tones derived from numerology developed centuries ago. These frequencies have shown to create positive shifts in your wellbeing, cleansing blockages to support healing. Sit back and relax and allow yourself to float away — rejuvenate, renew and strengthen with frequencies aligned to cleanse the 7 chakras. Starting with your root chakra and finishing with your crown chakra, this meditation includes all 7 frequencies to rebalance — progressing from 396Hz, 417Hz, 528Hz, 639Hz, 741Hz, 852Hz to 963Hz. This mix was made using the individual frequencies produced by Miracle Tones.
Nothing but mashups and remixes here. This is a playful mix centered around upbeat and familiar songs. A mashup is a composition created by blending two or more pre-recorded songs, usually by overlaying the vocal track of one song seamlessly over the instrumental track of another. This mix contains several mashups and finishes with some relaxing remixes that are food for the soul.

Stay-at-home and social distancing orders put a strain on DJs, dance communities, and all of us as a whole — causing the world to make a digital shift. As our access to human interaction was limited, we searched for alternatives utilizing platforms like Instagram Live, Twitch and Youtube Live as leading options. This has given us a slight sense of normalcy. But it's just not the same.

Thankful for Twitch and IG live. DJ's can bring some energy and do their best to connect around the world at one time.
​
As restrictions are lifted in some states, Minus will be entering these open spaces and returning responsibly to get you all moving. Dance responsibly folks — one love.
